Revival Post! Wheeee~! [[Intro For Renegade! Open Thread!]] [15 Feb 2007|03:43pm]

Dick swung out over the city, watching the people walk below him. The night was cool and brisk, and the city was quite. Almost too much so. He landed lightly on a gargoyle and crouched, looking up at the stars.

Investigation-Find The Rogues (Tag Black Canary, the Rogues) [13 Apr 2006|12:31am]

[ mood | angry ]

Heading east from our last position to a bar on the eastern side of Keystone wasn't an easy task. Though, with the speed Dinah and I were going, it seemed like only minutes when it was close to a few hours.

Good thing people from Gotham are used to staying up past their bedtimes.

Hadn't taken us long to find the small bar-it was so out of place they could've just put up a sign that said Villains roost here! Come pluck our feathers for info!

Landing a few feet away from the bar, a light grin crossed my face while I asked Dinah, "So, should we bust in the door or cause some property damage by dropping in on them through the roof? I'm game for either one."

Investigation (Open) [30 Mar 2006|11:13am]

[ mood | surprised ]

Batman had sent me back to Keystone for one specific reason-to find out precisely why Deathstroke had been in Flash's city, and for what twisted purpose. The last time he'd been heard from, it had concerned Nightwing, and that's another ordeal for a different time.

I dropped onto the roof of one of the buildings I'd been at a long while ago, feeling the presense of more than just Deathstroke-but, Supergirl as well.

"Why would she have met up with Deathstroke...?"

Thanks to the hole made on the side of this aforementioned building, probably due to Slade, the structure wasn't as strong as it had been, and it was in danger of collapsing-which would kill a significant number of good citizens within the apartment. Not a major plus, but a gigantic negative. Hopefully, I'll be able to find any clues that would lead me in the right direction...

Keystone, Meet Laelia [30 Mar 2006|08:50am]

I believe I like this city.

I've been walking around for a little bit, trying to see if it would make a good home (since I can't keep living with my father's old friend). It seems like a wonderful place.

Better than the stories I've heard about places like Gotham.

However, I keep getting lost and going in circles. I don't want to use the ring or my speed for fear of being ostracized. I am not stupid enough to have not realized that people on this planet do not have gifts like that of my people.

Though, those that do are either "heroes", "villains", or in hiding. Even some Terrans without gifts are heroes or villains, I have heard. That they are so well trained that they can do things that no one else can.

I look around as I realize my thoughts have gotten ahold of me again.

I'm lost again.

Target: Supergirl! (Tag Supergirl) [14 Mar 2006|12:37am]

[ mood | determined ]

I had the information I needed concerning my target. I knew precisely where to go in order to face her, and had all that I needed to keep her at bay. I had gone down Steeles Avenue, as instructed by one of the Rogues and had passed the florist's shop. Almost immediately, I sensed the presence of three people who had come and gone, though their auras would remain for just a bit longer.

Upon finding the precise building the three had been at, I stealthily made my way up the fire escape and soon enough stood at the top of the apartment building. I realized that I was correct-three people had been here: Supergirl, my intended target...Robin, the current Titan who I would deal with for deciding to leave Gotham, if only for a short while...Kid Flash, that speedster who dared to talk with Rose during the last encounter I had with the Titans...!

I would deal with Robin and Kid Flash soon enough. At the moment, I had bigger fish to fry. Preparing myself, and clenching my fists before relaxing them, I spoke so low that only three people and a dog would be able to hear me, despite the great distance that engulfed us all.

"Supergirl...come and face me, alone, if you dare!"

I was ready...The question is, was she?

Though the Mirror's Lense [05 Mar 2006|05:32pm]

[ mood | calm ]

So apparently Leonard’s come in contact with Deathstroke. Yeah. Yer heard me right. DEATHSTROKE. He's looking for that prissy superheroine known to the community as Supergirl. And he's basically seeking information.

Of course, being the shut in Cold has been lately, most of this has flown over his head and he's basically asking us for cooperation.

Now, normally I wouldn't even bother. Nor would the rest of us. We try not t' associate with "outsiders" much. (It helps cut back on unhindged drama yeh see.) But considering' Cold's put in the request, and he's basically "Leader" we cooperate.

Cold gives me the go ahead and I pull out a small handheld device that pretty much resembles a compact.

I hear a comment from Axel, who happens to be sitting on a crate blowin' bubblegum-- something along the lines of, "Gunna check yer makeup, Evan?"

I shoot him a dirty look and continue with my task.

Continuing to fuss with my device I pick up a reflection of Deathstroke. With ease my upper body is visible to him though yet another mirror.

Putting my arm through the compact, it appears to where Deathstroke is. My voice is as clear as a bell.

"This way." is all I need to say. I'm pretty sure he's smart enough to walk through the portal.

new girl in town (open) [19 Feb 2006|08:32am]

[ mood | aggravated ]

Jenni Ognats weaved between buildings at a low altitude. Like her cousin Bart, she came from the future. There, she was known as XS. She was looking for a certain red-costumed hero.

<"If you don't quit writhing and complaining, I'm going to drop you. And it may or may not be on purpose."> she had to use both hands to keep a grip on Inertia. Her power wasn't super-strength after all.

<"Hey, you speak Interlac. Must be from the future too. Where are you from?"> She looked down. There were red white lights zooming this way and that. Every sign was lit up. It was easy to get distracted.

Where there are heroes, there are villians. Villians like to come out at night. Flash oughta be out here somewhere fighting someone. I could fly faster if I wasn't carrying all this weight. He weighs the same as Bart. Who in their right mind would want to clone Bart?

In Darkness We Meet [15 Feb 2006|02:52am]

[ mood | curious ]

So apparently the word on the street is that Flash abandoned his hometown.

Of course, being the smarter of the bunch I know this isn't true. Though the lack of seeing the Scarlet and Gold has got me wondering--

Where the hell is he?

I was talking with Axel the other day and he kept telling me about this Clown Girl who showed up a while ago and they've basically been getting away with some small-time acts.

Year. WEIRD.

And what's weirder? No Flash. My monitering systems haven't even so much as blinked within the last few weeks. It's weird.

I've noticed a lot of traffic coming in and out of all ports running through the city. Even have noticed a few visitors that shouldn't be here.

This is my turff and I don't take kindly to strangers coming in and busting the place up. I know who belongs in this City, I know who doesn't.I may not be a superhero, but I keep my eyes peeled.

This city is as much as MINE as his.

Standing atop an abandoned apartment building, I lean over the edge. A foot proped up on the edge, overlooking the grimy streets below. The streetlight's hazey glow cascaded against the rusty silver of the trashcans that lined the street.

Through the darkness I could notice a figure with a gilded outline standing tall... Bold.

And speaking of someone who doesn't belong here--

"Long way from home, aren't we, Deathstroke?"

Bar Time! [09 Feb 2006|11:59pm]

[ mood | awake ]

It wasn't everyday that Wally often pulled in people from other dimensions to have buddy-to-buddy chats with.

'Hope this won't get me in trouble with the inter-dimenaion police.' he silently thought to himself.

In regular clothes, he motioned to a taller, blonde man to follow him into Keystone's Local pup. "I'm tellin' ya, Ollie. It's like Cheers in here. You come in? Everybody knows your name. It's crazy."

He gave him a slight grin and pushed the pub's doors open..

Almost as if on cue the bartender and a few of the folks over at the bar looked up and smiled, waving almost in unison, drinks waving about.

"Wally--! Nice t' see ya buddy!"

A dark haired woman wearing silver hoop earrings turned on her stool and gave a grin to the new comer. "Who's yer friend here. Mr. West? He's mighty cute."

Enter The Terminator [09 Feb 2006|04:39pm]

[ mood | devious ]

"...Keystone City."

Those were simple words, but they stated my intentions: for the time being, I was setting up shop in the hometown of the Fastest Man Alive-the Flash.

I'd heard rumors that a few "heroes" had made arrangements here as well. Unlike the Dark Knight, Flash had no qualms about other caped crimefighters visiting his fair city. I had my eye set on certain heroes in particular, and as I ensured during our last separate confrontations, they would never forget it after this one-you cross the Terminator, you would pay the price.

Running [02 Feb 2006|07:09pm]

[ mood | anxious ]

"I can't believe you did that."

"I can't believe I didn't do that sooner."

"Did you see the look on his face?"

"Yeah. I wish I had a camera!"

"He's your father."

"And I've been throwing things at him for years. Or will be throwing things at him for years. Or something. I miss my icee."

"Then you probably shouldn't have thrown it at him."

Patroling Gotham ((open!)) [25 Jan 2006|11:11am]

[ mood | contemplative ]

It was quiet in the way only Gotham City could be quiet: By being loud. Below Cassandra, dogs barked, babies cried in the night, couples laughed and fought and simply were. But the sirens were quiet... at least for the moment.

Cassandra sometimes wished she could see the stars from the city, but even dark Gotham was too bright for that.

Spice Up My Day ((open)) [23 Jan 2006|09:17pm]

"Gaah!" Kara In-Ze yelled out as she slipped on a puddle right outside of her apartment in Keystone City. What the hell had ever happened to superhuman reflexes, she asked herself as she brushed her gleaming blonde bangs out of her eerily clear blue eyes. Kara stood up, dusting off her tight blue jeans and white mini-blazer, glad for being Argosian. At least falling down didn't hurt her. Her clothes weren't wet either, but that was only because she had missed the puddle by mere centimeters.

Tossing her hair over her shoulder, Kara started walking again, trying to find something to do with herself. She had been unusually quiet lately, but that was only because she had started going to school nearby. Kara wanted more from life than just being Supergirl - and eventually Superwoman. She wanted a career of sorts. What sort of a career, she wasn't too sure, but she figured she'd start out by majoring in English, and working her way up from there. Being a writer could be interesting, after all.

But she was off of school today, and honestly, Kara wanted something interesting to happen. Anything interesting to happen. She wanted to spice up her life.

Trip to the Joke Shop [13 Jan 2006|02:33am]

[ mood | devious ]

Two am in the morning, the streets of Keystone were pretty much barren. No life on the streets-- except for the very few scattered patrons that were making their ways to their cars after spending the entire evening in the bar.

Quickly ducking behind a dumpster so as not to be seen, Axel's head perked up to make sure the coast was clear before he made his way forward.

"Just a few trinkets and I should be stocked up for the next month."

He pulled a lockpick from his oversized shirt and made his way to the back door of the Joke Shop. As soon as he stuck his pick int he lock he found the door was... already unlocked-- and opened for that matter.

He stood by it curiously and scratched his head.

Strange. He shrugged it off and opened the door and made his way inside. If the shop owner was inside then-- well, that was okay. He could always tie him up and took what he needed and left.

Making his way to the front of the store he took notice to another's form bent over, checking something out.

Now WHY didn't this look right to him? And why would anyone be trying to steal from a Joke shop?? That was HIS gig!

Axel raised an eyebrow. Maybe he could give 'em a scare. "Somethin' tells me yer not supposed to be here. Now DROP the rubber chicken and get outta my shop." he hissed.

Central City Museum Pt. 2 [13 Jan 2006|02:25am]

[ mood | cranky ]

Slowly flutterin his eyes, open, Flash groaned weakly. His head was ringing like the bells of Notre Dame and his stomach didn't seemed like it was going to hold his lunch all too well.

He tried to move but soon found that he was bound to a pole with a series of cables, ropes, and wires.

A shattered mirror that had lain on the ground was the only thing that he could catch his own reflection in. He had something-- a band on his head with blinking lights?

Oh boy-- this really couldn't be good.

Flash's head turned, trying to see if he could take otice to the other two kids that were here. He knew Inertia was near, but what of the other girl? Were they okay?

His eyes, filled with panic, tried to look for signs of life. "Inertia--?" he whispered. He hoped he was close and was alive to hear him.

Flash's beaten and exhuasted form was quickly shadowed.

Looks like Dark Matter came back to play.

Holding Out for a Hero [08 Jan 2006|02:44pm]

[ mood | scared ]

Lilian Allen was scared.

This was not something that she was used to. She had super-powers, after all. And she was usually with someone who knew what the hell they were doing and could keep calm during a crisis.

But not tonight.

Tonight, she'd just seen the Flash and Inertia brought down by... someone.

'I really should have paid more attention to Daddy when he'd talk about the Rogues,' she thought as she ran.

Running, she knew, was the best thing she could have done. If that thing could take down people with actual experiance, just think of what it could have done to her! And then nobody would know that Wally and Teddy were in trouble, so she had to find help RIGHT NOW and get them there to save them because if she didn't they might...

... die.

Rockin' the Rock Exhibit [05 Jan 2006|06:42am]

[ mood | determined ]

A sudden explosion rips across Central City in the dead of night. The Central City Science Museum was suddenly ripped to shreds by a powerful explosion that took out a good square section of the block. The explosion? Charged with the help of necular radiation.

The only part of the museaum that remained completely in tact was, in fact the museum's vast collection of rocks.

A dark looming figure grinned from behind a lead ski-mask.

"Only rocks." he cooed, petting the glass.

Hearing sirens in the wake of the night, Dark Matter's eyes glowed mensingly and walked back to the detination point of where he orginally set his bomb.

"Come you fools." he snickered. "Spend five minutes on this soil and see how well ya fair."

Could this be the event that was forecasted by the Weather Wizard earlier?

Tornado for the Twin Cities [31 Dec 2005|07:23pm]

[ mood | devious ]

Atop one of the highest buildings in Keystone City stood an over eager, Mark Mardon. He chuckled absently as he flicked his wrist to wave his wand in the night's chilled air.

There was chaos to be had. And this was the start of it.

However, in order to "get the ball bouncin'" he needed to stir up a bit of a distraction.

Mardon's eyes glittered with energy that completely surrounded his body, lifting him effortlessly into the air.

The suddenly cloudless sky was soon coming together rapidly, the clouds graying-- thunder booming throughout the city.

With a second wave of his wand, he pointed it at the Central City Bridge, that could be seen off int he distance

Lightning struck, most definitly sending a few panic cars into a panic.

The wind swirled as a violently a growing tornado suddenly touched down.

This was all about attention. And he was determined to leave a message.

To the Rescue....? [20 Dec 2005|07:44pm]

[ mood | curious ]

"Pssst..." Wally's eyes searched through the darkness, his hands roaming around for a light-switch. His return hadn't had been as hasty as he had hoped for, but he was back in his own neck of the wood which had to account for something.

"Ted--? I was able to stir up that compound for ya-- are.... you here?"

He silently hoped that Ted decided to stay put and not run out while he was out and about.
